About us

VIPEP is a nonprofit non-governmental organization registered in Kenya, that seeks to promote gender equality by advancing the rights of Adolescent girls and young women from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Our work stems from the fact that there are still high rates of gender-based violence, inequality in work, business, leadership and social spaces, there are high poverty levels among women in Kenya, due to various factors such as low education levels, patriarchy, harmful gender norms, harmful gender stereotypes etc.

To permanently change the way the society views and treats girls and women in the society.

To provide a platform where women and girls are given necessary support to succeed beyond their wildest imaginations and dreams
Economic Empowerment
We promote economic empowerment of young women and girls through providing vocational training and employability skills in a bid to create formal job opportunities for then, we also conduct job summits to connect job providers and women job seekers.
Sexual & Reproductive Rights
VIPEP endeavors to advocate and protect SRHR of women through taking part in community sensitization, trainings, consultative discussions and campaigns. These rights include menstrual health rights, maternal health rights and protection from sexual violence.
Water, Sanitization & Hygiene
We endeavor to enable women have access to clean water, proper sanitation and proper hygiene through sensitization, provision of handwash devices construction of toilets and wells in rural communities .
